Gather your colleagues, family, or friends for a meaningful way to serve together. Providing a meal at Ronald McDonald House: Lexington is a hands-on opportunity to bring comfort to families after long days at the hospital.
Whether your group prepares dinner, bakes treats to brighten someone’s day, or assembles grab-and-go sandwiches for parents heading back to the hospital, your time in our kitchen helps ease one more burden for families. These simple acts of care create moments of nourishment, normalcy, and community when they are needed most.
Nothing brings comfort quite like a shared meal. Thanks to our full-time Chef, we offer two unique ways for dinner groups to serve.
Dinner Groups (5:00–8:00 p.m.)
Groups of up to 8 volunteers can sign up to help provide dinner for families.
You may choose:
Both options offer a meaningful way to nourish families during long and demanding days.
Breakfast Groups (Weekends)
Serve a Saturday or Sunday morning breakfast by bringing ingredients and preparing a meal for families to enjoy together.
Our kitchen is always open for a little sweetness. Bring your favorite ingredients and spend time baking cookies, brownies, or special treats to share with families. The simple comfort of something fresh from the oven can brighten a long day, spark connection, and bring a sense of home when it’s needed most.
Baking groups are typically scheduled at 10:00 a.m. or 1:00 p.m.
Many families spend long days at the hospital, and having a ready-to-grab meal waiting for them can make all the difference. Sandwich groups help prepare simple lunches that families can take along as they come and go, offering comfort and one less thing to worry about. Bring your favorite sandwich supplies and help fill our refrigerator with care so parents can stay focused on what matters most, their child.
Sandwich groups are typically scheduled at 10:00 a.m. or 1:00 p.m.

Not able to cook onsite? You can still provide comfort through a meal. Monetary donations to sponsor a dinner help cover the cost of ingredients, kitchen supplies, and our Chef’s preparation – ensuring families continue to receive nourishing meals throughout the week.
We also welcome partnerships with local restaurants and catering companies interested in donating a catered meal. Whether prepared in our kitchen or delivered ready to serve, your generosity helps ease daily stress for families and allows them to focus on their child’s care.
Every shared meal is a reminder that our community is standing beside them. If you’re interested in sponsoring a meal, please contact Director of Programs & Operations, Jillian Pyatte at 859-469-9255 or jpyatte@rmhclexington.org.
